The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the signing of 2006-born forward Gavin McGahey-Smith, for the 2024-2025 season.
McGahey-Smith spent last year with the Haliburton County Huskies, in the OJHL, where he put up six goals and two assists for eight points in 45 games. In his 16-year old season, Gavin played in Komoka, where he put up seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 40 games, and was selected to the GOJHL’s 2022 Future Stars Game.
Gavin was a 2022 8th round pick (151st overall) by the Oshawa Generals in the OHL Draft. This preseason, Gavin put up one goal and two assists for three points in four games.
The Kings look forward to Gavin’s return to the Kings lineup, and a strong 2024-2025 season, which kicks off on Saturday at home versus Stratford!
