Kings Name New Leadership Group

The Komoka Kings are proud to announce that the team has named Justin Skirten as the club’s captain for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season, with Ethan Mathews and Brody Fraleigh named as assistants.

Skirten is in his second season with the Kings. The 2005-born, 2022 U18 draft pick of the London Knights has posted 6 goals and 2 assists this year, playing all 31 games for the team. Last season, Justin posted 11 goals and 9 assists for 20 points in 49 games. Skirten stands 6’0 and weighs in at 180 pounds, never shying away from the physicality of the game. He had previously been named an assistant captain earlier this year.

In Mathews and Fraleigh, the Kings have two, experienced, 2003-born league veterans to help the leadership group. Mathews is in his third full season with Komoka, providing a steadying presence on the back end. In 115 games as a King, he has posted 4 goals and 20 assists for 24 points, putting up career highs in assists, and points this season already this season. Fraleigh, a 2003-born, Wallaceburg, ON native, is in his fourth junior hockey season, having played two in junior C in Wallaceburg, one split between Chatham and Brockville, and now one in Komoka.

The Kings look forward to seeing the impact of the new leadership group throughout the remainder of the season.
