Komoka Kings Name Johnny Warren Head Coach

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KOMOKA, ONT. – The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce that Johnny Warren has been appointed as the team’s new Head Coach.

Warren, 28, brings seven years of coaching experience with the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks organization. After serving as an assistant coach for the U18 team in 2018-19, he quickly advanced to a head coaching role, developing players from U12 to U16. Last season, he led the Canucks’ U16 team to a 17-9-4 regular-season record and an OHL Cup appearance.

Over his six seasons as a head coach, Warren has amassed an impressive 115-22-14 regular-season record, boasting a stellar .807 points percentage. His leadership has helped secure two Alliance AAA Championships (U14 in 2022 and U15 in 2023).

Beyond coaching, Warren has spent the past three seasons as a Hockey Operations Assistant with the London Knights. As a player, he had a successful career in the GOJHL, averaging over a point per game each of his four seasons. He also gained major junior experience with the London Knights (OHL) and the St. John Sea Dogs (QMJHL) in parts of four campaigns.

Warren is eager to take on this new challenge with the Kings, a franchise he previously played for when it was based in Lambton Shores: “I’m very excited to get started with Komoka. I believe my coaching staff and I will be able to develop a winning culture here, with our hockey experience and knowledge of players in the area. I’m very appreciative that Roop has given me this opportunity.”

Kings President and General Manager Roop Chanderdat shares his enthusiasm for the new hire: “We’re thrilled to have Johnny join the Kings organization. He brings tremendous knowledge and passion that will greatly benefit the team.”

With his extensive knowledge of player development and the incoming generation of GOJHL talent, Warren is well-positioned to help build a strong and competitive program in Komoka for years to come.
