The Komoka Kings have named four players as assistant captains for the 2022-2023 season, joining captain Chris Crocker in the team’s leadership group.
These four players are forwards Adam Zuckerman and Alex MacLeod, as well as defencemen Chris Coulter and Will Lewis.
Zuckerman, a 2003-born winger, spent last season in Komoka, which was his first in the GOJHL. The Toronto, ON native played 43 games in a Kings uniform, posting 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points. In the playoffs, he had 11 points in 5 games.
MacLeod is a 2002-born centreman, who played last year in Komoka, after signing with the team for the washed out 2020-2021 season. In 29 games played, MacLeod put up two goals and five assists for seven points, while playing in nearly every situation. He played in two of the Kings playoff games, where he posted an assist.
Coulter is a 2003-born defenceman, who signed with the Kings for 2020-2021, but did not get to play due to the pandemic. In 2021-2022, Chris put up two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 42 games, plus two assists in five playoff games.
Lewis is a 2002-born defenceman, who can also play at forward. He is the active games played leader for the Kings, with 94 dating back to the 2019-2020 season. In those 94 games as a King, Lewis has 9 goals and 23 assists for 32 points, and has played in eight playoff games.
The 2022-2023 regular season gets underway on Friday in St. Thomas, and the Kings HOME OPENER is Saturday, September 10th, at 7:15pm!
