Kings Alumni Isaiah George Makes NHL Debut

Komoka Kings Alumni Isaiah George made his NHL Debut on Tuesday, for the New York Islanders.

 

George, who was selected in the OHL Draft by the London Knights in the 4th round, 68th overall in 2020, signed with the Kings for the 2020-2021 season.

 

After his time in Komoka, he joined the Knights full time for three seasons, posting 19 goals and 56 assists, for 75 points in 189 games in the OHL.

 

He was picked by the New York Islanders in the 4th round, 98th overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft. George has now played three games in the NHL, averaging 21:15 of ice time. The Islanders are 2-0-1 since his callup.

 

Isaiah becomes the first player to make the NHL after wearing a Komoka Kings uniform (since the 2017 move to the Komoka).
